Drew is a former collegiate tennis player with many years of experience playing, teaching, and training elite tennis players from all over the United States. Although he enjoyed playing, teaching, and training tennis players, he became enamored in the court construction process after realizing just how much the playing surface effected his play. Curiosity became a passion, and today, Drew's mission is to deliver the best playing surface to optimize athletes' performance.
Since 2014, Drew has worked for some of the most prestigious contractors in the Southeast United States, but went out on his own in 2019 to start Magnolia Sports Construction in Hattiesburg, MS. For 5 years, Drew worked tirelessly to establish his presence in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and the surrounding area. A maniacal worker by nature, he wore every hat in the sales and construction process, building Magnolia into a regional powerhouse.
In November 2023, looking to continue to expand his business, Drew partnered with David Tucker to create FTSC and venture into an underserved tennis community in the Carolinas. Today, FTSC continues to service clients in Mississippi and the surrounding area, a testament to the unmatched quality of his work and the strength of the life-long relationships he's developed with clients in the area.
In his free time, Drew enjoys looking at tennis courts (yes, even in his free time), watching hockey, and spending time with his wife, Morgan. They share a dog, Cooper, and two cats, Rocky and Creed.
David comes to FTSC with experience in a number of different industries including the manufacturing side of the sports construction industry. As a young child, he grew up around family members involved in the manufacturing of tennis and running track coatings. He's been repairing cracked asphalt courts since he was in elementary school in Topsfield, MA and continued to work in the field through college.
In 2012, David started his business career in New York, NY at Office Depot in the Business Solutions Division. During his 7 year tenure at Office Depot, he managed a $17M book of business made up of Fortune 100 companies, School Districts, Labor Unions, and the like. David was also active on the board of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. He gained valuable insight into the inner workings of large companies as he worked with key stakeholders to build and optimize procurement strategies. Seeking a change of scenery, David traded the Manhattan skyline for life on a pond in Greensboro, NC. After working as a consultant, he ventured back into the sports industry taking a position at Har-Tru. During his tenure at Har-Tru, David helped to establish their line of acrylic coatings in the Southeast Unites States while also becoming an expert on clay court installation and maintenance. A passion was born, and he partnered with Drew to build FTSC.
David holds a degree in Economics from Wake Forest University (Class of 2012), where he also captained the school's drumline. In his free time he enjoys bass fishing, tinkering with cars, and spending time with his girlfriend, Julie, their dog, Gracie, and their cat, Squeegee.
